Theoretical studies were taking place in two buildings
situated in Wojska Polskiego Street in Karsznice.
The school introduced the profile of rolling-stock repair
metal-worker. In 1964, extra classes were added: rolling-stock electrician;
in 1971: industrial traffic railway operator.
The first principal of the school, holding the office up to 1972, was
Stanisław Śmieja, whereas the office of the manager of practical studies was
held by Czesław Pryk.
From 1972 to 2002, mgr inż. Roman Czacherski held the office of the
principal of the school.
In 1983, the school received its own, modern building. The following year,
the building of the dormitory was started.
The Vocational School was given
the names of Juliusz Sylla and Kazimierz Kałużewski, Karsznice heroes and
railway men who fought in AK units, and were hanged for their conspiratorial
activities.
In September 1983, Extramural Railway Technical College was
started, being an affiliate of Railway Technical College in Bydgoszcz.
However, in 1989, the school gave rise to its own Railway Technical College.
The regulation that gave rise to the institution, required the school to be
administered by the Ministry of Infrastructure. The school began to educate
electricity, mechanics, as well as railway traffic technicians.
In 1999, the well-equipped school building was overtaken by Zduńska Wola
district. At this moment, the name of the school was changed into Zespół
Szkół.
The school began to educate students who wanted to get a certificate in
general secondary school studies.
In 2002, the principal’s duties were overtaken by mgr Agnieszka Jaśkiewicz,
the current principal of the school.

From 1999 to 2003, two departments of Lodz Polytechnics:
Mechanics and Biotechnology, had their non-resident centers in the school.
On 18th April, 2007, Zespół Szkół was given the names of
Kazimierz Kałużewski and Juliusz Sylla, therefore relating to the tradition
of the school connected with railway and local community.

The school established partnership, and is now under the
auspices of Higher School of Hotel Industry, Tourism and Gastronomy.
Currently, the school is making efforts to send our students
on foreign practice in terms of Leonardo da Vinci program.
New ways of educating are the response for the needs, as
well as expectations of students and their parents.
